Dr. Donald “Doc” Buller: Founder & Veterinarian
I started the clinic in 1976 and worked full time until I retired in 2006. I was born and raised in St Louis, Missouri, with my two sisters. I enjoyed working on dogs, cats, cattle, pigs, and horses. My hobbies include duck and goose hunting, fishing, and woodworking. I have 3 grand children and 4 step grand children who I love to spend time with.
Dr. Dan Buller: Veterinarian
I have been at Bethalto Animal Clinic since 2000 when I graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri (GO MIZZOU!). For my undergraduate studies I attended Lewis and Clark Community College and Eastern Illinois University. My special interests are internal medicine and anesthesia of cats and dogs.
I have been a vet tech for 25 years. I live in Wood River with my husband and 2 daughters. I have 3 cats and 2 Boston Terrier’s named Fergie and Yeti. In my free time I like to boat, camp, and spend time with family and friends.
Janice: Practice Manager
I have been in the veterinary field since 2011. I live in Bethalto with my husband Chris. Our kids are out of the house so it’s just us and the fur babies now. We have Gizmo & Trixie the chinese cresteds, Kozmo the chihuahua, and Mattie the rottweiler. In my free time I enjoy spending time with grandson Vinny, our family & friends, taking walks on trails with the dogs, and reading.
I have been at Bethalto Animal Clinic since 1988 as a receptionist. I live in Bethalto with my husband, 2 children, and 2 dogs. I love spending time with my family and reading.
Hi, my name is Melissa! I’ve been a veterinary nurse since 2013 when I graduated from Hickey College. I live in Hamel with my husband, our dog Henry, and our 3 sons. I love seeing you all and taking care of your pets!
Shelby: Veterinary Technician
Hi y’all! I’m Shelby! I started in the Veterinary Medicine field back in 2014. I temporarily left vet med from 2016-2019 while I served in the military. After my service, the passion & fire this field has always given me drew me back to being a Vet Tech! I’ve got two fur kiddos of my own at home, Scout & Cyrus who both LOVE going on jeep rides with me. I am both a busy body & a social butterfly, therefore in my free time I am typically with family and/or friends going on new adventures!
Hello! My name is Dori Hoth and I have worked at the Bethalto Animal Clinic since 2015. I graduated from Murray State University in 2009 with my Bachelors Degree in Science with a focus on Animal Health Technology. When I’m not at work I love to be outside with my husband Andrew and our daughter Juliette. We live in Brighton with our 2 dogs, Salami and Loki, and our cat Gracie. I am an avid gardener and plant lover. Taking care of animals (or plants) is what I feel I was made to do!
I have been a receptionist at Bethalto Animal Clinic since march 2017. My husband and I live in Rosewood Heights. We have 2 daughters, 1 son-in-law, 2 amazing grandsons, and 1 spoiled dog. I love spending time with my family, playing with our grandsons and working outside.
Kayleigh: Veterinary Technician
Hi! I am Kayleigh. I graduated from the Vatterott College Veterinary Technician Program in 2018. I live with my boyfriend Brian and our two dogs Ruger and Draco. My passion for wanting to be a veterinarian technician is helping every animal that comes through those front doors. I also have 3 horses that I enjoy spending time with and riding in my spare time.
Amanda: Veterinary Technician
I graduated from Vet Tech Institute in 2012 and have been caring for dogs and cats in the area ever since. I live in Brighton with my husband Jeremy, our dog Jasper, our cat Bandit and our two corn snakes Morticia and Gomez. When I’m not at work providing love, care and compassion to your fur babies you can find me at home snuggled on the couch with mine. I also enjoy spending time with my large family and getting out and seeing all of the beauty this world has to offer.

Hi there, I’m Jessica! I graduated from Vet Tech school in 2012, where I then spent 6 years in an emergency setting before going to a clinic setting. I have 2 dachshund mixes, Bane and Ivy, and 2 cats, Weasley and Petrie. I enjoy caring for pets and building relationships with their families. In my free time I play video games, camp, and try to get in a good book when I can.
