Dr. Donald “Doc” Buller: Founder & Veterinarian
I started the clinic in 1976 and worked full time until I retired in 2006. I was born and raised in St Louis, Missouri, with my two sisters. I enjoyed working on dogs, cats, cattle, pigs, and horses. My hobbies include duck and goose hunting, fishing, and woodworking. I have 3 grand children and 4 step grand children who I love to spend time with.
Dr. Dan Buller: Veterinarian
I have been at Bethalto Animal Clinic since 2000 when I graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri (GO MIZZOU!). For my undergraduate studies I attended Lewis and Clark Community College and Eastern Illinois University. My special interests are internal medicine and anesthesia of cats and dogs.
Christy: Lead Receptionist
I have been in veterinary medicine since 1992. I worked as a nurse for about 16 years, but now mainly as a receptionist, but you may occasionally see me in a exam room. I have been working for Dr Buller for 20 years . I have 2 dogs- Yeti and Fergie and 4 cats (including 2 hairless Sphynx babies) Pearl and Elmer. I live in Wood River with my husband and enjoy time with my 2 grown daughters. I love the summer and the sun and if I’m not at work you would catch me around the pool listening to music.
Kim: Receptionist
My name is Kim, but the girls in the office call me Kimmie. I have worked the front desk since 1988. I currently have 2 dogs (Noel and Rosie) I have lived in this area my entire life and am happily married to my husband Larry and have 2 beautiful children (Carmen and Cole) During my free time I enjoy reading, laying around with the dogs and spending time with family. I love the clients and co-workers and have really grown attached to them, but definitely ready to retire.
Melissa: Nurse
Hi, my name is Melissa! I’ve been a veterinary nurse since 2013 when I graduated from Hickey College. I live in Hamel with my husband, our dog Teddy, and our 3 sons. I love seeing you all and taking care of your pets!
Shelby: Nurse
Hi y’all! I’m Shelby! I started in Veterinary Medicine in 2014. I temporarily left vet med from 2016-2019 while I served in the military. After my service, the passion and fire this field has always has given me brought me back to being a Vet tech. I have 2 dogs (Scout and Cyrus) and 1 cat (Sullivan). They definitely have me wrapped around their paws. In my free time you can typically find me with my fur babies, family and/or friends going on a new adventure!
Dori: Lead Nurse
Hello! My name is Dori and I have worked at the Bethalto Animal Clinic since 2015. I graduated from Murray State University in 2009 with my Bachelors Degree in Science with a focus on Animal Health Technology. When I’m not at work I love to be outside with my husband Andrew and our daughters Juliette and Evelyn. We live in Brighton with our 2 dogs, Walter and Loki, and our cat Gracie. I am an avid gardener and plant lover. Taking care of animals (or plants) is what I feel I was made to do!
Sherry: Receptionist
I have been a receptionist at Bethalto Animal Clinic since march 2017. My husband and I live in Rosewood Heights. We have 2 daughters, 1 son-in-law, 2 amazing grandsons. I love spending time with my family, playing with our grandsons and working outside.
Kayleigh: Nurse
Hi, my name is Kayleigh. I have been a technician for 5 years. I live in Moro with my fiance, our two babies (by the way- twins!) and our dog and cats. In my free time I enjoy being with my family and spending time outdoors.
Jessica: Nurse
Hi there, I’m Jessica! I graduated from Vet Tech school in 2012, where I then spent 6 years in an emergency setting before going to a clinic setting. I have 2 dachshund mixes, Bane and Ivy, and 2 cats, Weasley and Petrie. I enjoy caring for pets and building relationships with their families. In my free time I play video games, camp, and try to get in a good book when I can.
Alex: Assistant/Receptionist
My name is Alex. I have worked at the office since 2022. I live with my family in Moro and have 4 Mini Australian Shepherds. I love spending time outside with my dogs, and working on various projects around the yard.
Sherri: Receptionist
I started working for Dr Buller in 2022, but been in the veterinary field since 1997. My favorite part of this job is educating pet owners and helping them take best care of their fur babies. I am married to a incredible man and we have 3 grown children and 4 perfect grand-children. We currently have 2 dogs (Jack and Gus) and 2 cats (Zip and Bart). I love to travel and fulfilled recently a trip on my bucket list to Alaska walking close to Coastal Brown Bears. Other interests include reading, photography and spending time with friends, family and my dogs.
Emily: Nurse
I Graduated from Hickey college VTI and became certified in 2013. I’ve worked small animal, mixed animal and emergency. I currently have 2 horses, 2 pit bulls and 2 barn cats. I have 3 kids and a very amazing husband that gets my crazy obsession with vet med. I love to volunteer and teach every chance I get!
Carmen: Receptionist
Hello everyone. I’m Carmen but everyone calls me Carm. I started working at the office beginning of 2023. Currently, I am enrolled at Bradley University for my masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have a undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Mississippi. I have 2 dogs (Noel and Rosie). I live in town with my family. Fun Fact: My mom is Kim at the office. In my free time I enjoy reading, hiking and spending time with family and friends.

My name is Kaitlyn. I graduated from Midwest Institute in 2023 with my associates in Veterinary Technology. I live in Dorsey with my boyfriend Weston and our 2 dogs Dierks and Buck. We love hiking, boating, and just being outdoors. I love seeing you and your pets each and everyday.

My name is Heather. I have been a licensed veterinary technician since 2009. I graduated from the Vet Tech Institute at Hickey College. I was fortunate enough to join the amazing team here in 2023. I live in Alton with my husband Cody and my daughter Madisyn. We have 2 cats, Mojo Jojo and Salmin. In my free time I enjoy playing bass guitar and video games.
